The American Center for the Study of Distance Education (ACSDE) was
established in 1988, aiming to become a network of scholars who have a
common interest in studying, teaching, and doing research in the field
of distance education. ACSDE has both a printed and electronic journal
and other publications. In addition, DEOS-L (Distance Education Online
Symposium) was created as an interactive listserv to facilitate
unstructured discussion of interest to educators.

Journal of Interactive Media in Education

JIME is unique in that it brings together articles and asynchronous
discussion of those articles within the same web space. The focus in on
the theoretical and practical aspects of interactive media in education

which the Internet is changing education. The mission of the Web-based
Education Commission is to recommend actions to help ensure that all

Commission will recommend to the President and Congress policies to
assist education leaders at all levels to incorporate Web-based

from that work is helpful and informative. However, E-Learning has its

VLearn3D -- Shared virtual spaces for learning
