Performance Measures

Each community college must publish its Performance Measurements in an electronic format and in the college catalog.  Beginning with the 1999-2000 fiscal year, all North Carolina Community Colleges must meet a new system of accountability based on twelve (12) performance measurements. From The President

hrough its educational programs, learning opportunities, and support services, Martin Community College provides the opportunity for individuals  to achieve their personal and career goals.  Whether your goal is to obtain the skills necessary to compete in today's workplace, become certified in a certain occupation, explore another career, or complete the first two years of a four-year degree, the faculty and staff want to assist you in meeting your particular goal.

The College is committed to providing quality educational experiences at a reasonable cost and at times convenient to students who work part-time or full-time.  In addition to scheduling traditional classes to meet the needs of students, the College offers a variety of distance learning opportunities including Internet classes, classes on the North Carolina Information Highway, and telecourses.

Student success and assisting each student to Build a Better Future is our goal.  Our small classes allow each student to receive a lot of attention from our professional and caring faculty.  The goal of each faculty and staff is to make you feel important while you complete your educational goals.

We hope you will choose to enroll at Martin Community College.  We believe you will have an enjoyable and rewarding experience.  Please feel free to contact any member of the college community to answer questions and provide you with assistance.  I look forward to seeing you on the Martin Community College campus.

Ann R. Britt, Ed.D.
President
