How long does this class last?

We offer night classes only so they last about 7 1/2 months.

What are the hours of the class and when does the class meet?

Classes meet from 6 p.m. to 11:00 or 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights and from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on alternating Saturdays and Sundays.

How hard is BLET?

This is a hard question to answer. Probably the best answer is that it depends. It depends on how bad you want to be a law enforcement officer, it depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put into studying, and it depends on how self-disciplined you are.

While BLET is not boy scout camp it is not as hard as basic military training in the Armed Services.

What job can I get once I finish BLET?

BLET will qualify you to work for a police department or a sheriff's department.

How much does the class cost?

Because each student must be sponsored by a law enforcement agency, there is no tuition for the class.

The cost of books varies. As of 2009 the cost of the books is somewhere around $550.

The uniforms cost about $100 to begin the class. Cadets who advance in the class will need to spend another $100 or so for more uniforms.
