Special Extension - The Division of Continuing Education offers the following programs to meet specific training needs. |
| Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) is required for potential law enforcement officers. It is a rigorous program stressing professionalism, academic achievement, discipline, and physical fitness. | Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program currently offers training for the following EMS levels: Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), EMT-D, and EMT-I. EMT-P personnel may enroll and receive credit for several portions of the current programs. Classes are held on campus and at off-campus sites in Martin, Bertie, and Washington counties. | The Fire Service Training program offers a variety of Fire/Rescue classes. These classes include but are not limited to the following certification classes: Firefighter I and II, Emergency Rescue Technician, and Hazardous Material Levels I and II. | New and Expanding Industry Training is available to industries upon request. The College, in cooperation with the Industrial Services Division of the North Carolina Community College System, will design and administer special training programs for new and/or expanding local industries. | Focused Industrial Training programs provide for the assessment of needs for training and for the development and delivery of customized training for skilled and semi-skilled workers in industrial-type occupations. Classes are jointly planned by the College and the industry to be served and are intended to provide training that cannot be provided through other existing occupational programs.
