Student Achievement
In accordance with SACSOC Standard 8.1, institutions are expected to demonstrate their success with respect to student achievement and indicate the criteria and thresholds of acceptability used to determine that success. Martin Community College has identified multiple measures to document students achievement including the NCCCS Performance Measures, the National Student Clearinghouse Total Completion Rate, and the IPEDS 150% Completion Rate.
NCCCS Performance Measures
The Performance Measures for Student Success Report is the North Carolina Community College System's major accountability document and Martin Community College's primary measure of student success and achievement. This annual performance report is based on data compiled during the previous year and serves to inform colleges and the public on the performance of our 58 community colleges.

IPEDS Completion Rate
The IPEDS Completion Rate measures the first-time, full-time degree or certificate seeking students, excluding dual enrolled students, in a fall cohort who complete their program within a time period equal to one and a half times (150%) the normal period of time. A typical time to completion for an associate degree is two years.
