Emergency Medical Services Coordinator
Martin Community College is currently seeking an EMS Coordinator to provide leadership and proactive consultation to meet the educational needs of various EMS Agencies and Health Care Providers in the MCC service area. Duties include designing a comprehensive marketing plan for program promotion, maintaining program budget, reporting on program successes, conducting class visits, developing course material, hiring and supervising part-time instructors, assessment of equipment and supplies, instructor training, professional development and teaching classes as needed.
Associate degree in Emergency Medical Service or related field (healthcare discipline, health education, etc.) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Experience: Current NC Paramedic certification, NCOEMS Level II Paramedic Instructor, instructor certification for BLS, ACLS, PALS and ITLS/PHTLS; 5 years of full-time EMS field experience; 3 years of EMS leadership, training and supervision experience, teaching in an EMS related area and knowledge of NCOEMS guidelines and training protocols.
Experience with instructional technology, developing online and hybrid classes and marketing educational programs preferred.

- Exterior repair and maintenance of college buildings and equine area

- Operating maintenance equipment and performing preventative maintenance

Responsible for assisting faculty in the production of online courses that support institutional, program, and student learning outcomes; develop and implement professional development opportunities on topics related to the use of technology as an instructional tool.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (Instructional Design/Technology, Educational Technology, Instructional Systems Technology, Computer Information Technology/Computer Science); Master’s preferred; Teaching experience in an online environment, strong background in online instructional design; knowledge of ADA compliance.
LMS administrative experience, 3 years of experience integrating technology (video, graphics, animations, and interactive media elements, etc.) into higher education instruction/faculty development; Blackboard or Moodle experience preferred Position is open until filled. Part-Time Basic Skills Instructor – Bertie Correctional Institute
Martin Community College is seeking to attract qualified applicants for a Basic Skills Part-Time Instructor at Bertie Correctional Institution. The selected candidate(s) will substitute for basic Skills classes at various times as needed.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in education with 1 or more years of experience in an instructional setting as a teacher.
Must have the ability and knowledge to provide basic skills instruction to students in reading, writing, science, social studies and math. Must possess skills necessary to make appropriate student assignments for a multi-level classroom, administer assessments and tests and maintain accurate student and program records.
Part-Time Industrial Safety Instructor at Bertie Correctional Institution
This position is at the Bertie Correctional Institution in Windsor, NC and is for approximately 25 hours per week. Responsibilities include planning and teaching industrial safety courses and related instructional activities such as preparing and administering tests and evaluations. Requirements include an Associate degree in Industrial Safety or related field and/or substantial experience in the field. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and/or certifications in industrial safety and teaching experience.

Small Engine Repair Instructor at Bertie Correctional Institution
Martin Community College is seeking talented applicants for a Small Engine Repair Instructor for the Bertie Correctional Institute. The position teaches students to diagnose, adjust, repair and overhaul small engines used to power lawn mowers, chain saws, recreational sporting and related equipment.
General requirements include observing students' work, determine training needs of students, and administer, oral, written, or performance test to measure progress and evaluate training effectiveness. Requirements also include developing curricula and plan course content and methods of instruction. Job specific skills include teaching students to repair & maintain gasoline engines used to power equipment. Adjust points, valves, carburetors, distributors, and spark plug gaps as well as test & inspect engines.
An Associate Degree (preferred) from an accredited college with major coursework in Automotive Technology & 3 years of related work experience. ASE certification is required. Applicants with five years of professional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
