A.G.E. Degree Pre-Nursing Track in General Education (A10300)

The Associate in General Education (AGE) curriculum is designed for the academic enrichment of students who wish to broaden their education, with emphasis on personal interest, growth, and development.

The AGE advising track for Pre-Nursing is designed to assist students who want to apply to a two-year nursing school at one of the North Carolina Community Colleges. In collaboration with Roanoke-Chowan Community College, the Sequencing guide provides a guided pathway for a student to complete most of the requirements to be ready for application into the Associate in Nursing Degree (ADN) program at Roanoke-Chowan Community College. Furthermore, the AGE Pre-Nursing track can be modified if a student finds a different institution they would like to apply to. Students should work with their AGE advisor to determine the best course sequence for their experience and academic level.

If a student begins on the AGE Pre-Nursing track and decides to change career paths, the AGE degree is nimble enough to suit the needs of the student. As always, students are encouraged to discuss their plans with their advisor in order to discover the best path for their future.
