Becoming an MCC Student
Applying to Martin Community College is a four-step process. Whether you're starting your first college experience, returning after time away, or transferring credits, the path to enrollment is the same.
Steps to Apply
Apply through CFNC
Submit your application through CFNC (the College Foundation of North Carolina). The application is free and takes about 20 minutes to complete.
- Apply online at cfnc.org
- Choose Martin Community College as your school
- Select your program of study, or choose Special Credit if you're taking classes for transfer or personal enrichment
Submit Transcripts
You'll need to send official transcripts from any of the following that apply to you:
- High school transcript, GED, or High School Equivalency records
- Official transcripts from any colleges or universities you've attended
See Submitting Transcripts for details on how to send them to MCC.
Register for Classes
Once your application and transcripts are processed, an admissions counselor will reach out to help you register for classes that fit your program and schedule.
Plan How You'll Pay
MCC offers several pathways to make college affordable. Start with the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), and contact the Financial Aid Office for guidance.
- Apply for financial aid: see Financial Aid
- Email Financial Aid: [email protected]
- Phone: (252) 789-0204
If you've recently applied and want to change your major, reapplication likely isn't required. Contact Admissions to update your program of study.
