Application Cycle
The application cycle opens on May 26, 2026, and closes on September 18, 2026.
Step 1: Complete General Admissions
- Complete the MCC College application
- Submit a high school transcript or GED to Admissions
- Submit all college transcripts to Admissions
- Submit Financial Aid Application
- Complete New Student Orientation

Step 2: Submit the Nursing Program Application
- Complete the Practical Nursing Application Packet and return all documents to admissions by September 18, 2026. No late packets will be accepted.
- Eligible applicants are ranked according to their point score.
- The 25 highest ranked applicants will receive a letter of conditional acceptance.
- 4 alternate ranked applicants will also receive a conditional acceptance letter.
- Letters mailed on September 28, 2026.
Step 3: After Conditional Acceptance
- Complete the mandatory Orientation Session on October 19, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Nursing Classroom (Building 1, Room 10A).
- Complete orientation packet and return to the Director of Nursing by December 3, 2026.
Admission Requirements
- High school graduation, equivalent, or post-secondary credits
- Achievement potential through previous academic records
- Physical and mental health indicative of ability to provide competent nursing care
- Complete MCC General Admissions Application including Residency Determination
- Take placement tests if required
- Submit all transcripts
- Complete separate nursing application packet
- BIO 168 and BIO 169 within past five years (waived with bachelor or AAS degree)
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 in general education; minimum 2.0 in each NUR course

Final Requirements
- Attend mandatory orientation
- Submit physical exam (MCC Student Medical Form)
- Submit vaccine documentation including COVID
- Submit AHA Basic Life Support Provider certification
- Complete Criminal Background Check and drug screen
