In accordance with SACSCOC Standard 8.1, MCC documents student success through multiple measures: the NCCCS Performance Measures for Student Success, the National Student Clearinghouse Total Completion Rate, and the IPEDS 150% Completion Rate. MCC has adopted the system excellence level as the College's target and the baseline as the threshold for each Performance Measure.
NCCCS Performance Measures
The Performance Measures for Student Success Report is the North Carolina Community College System's major accountability document and MCC's primary measure of student success and achievement.

IPEDS 150% Graduation Rates
Federal IPEDS data tracks the 150% graduation rate — the percentage of full-time, first-time degree-seeking students who completed within 150% of normal program time. MCC's Excellence, Average, and Baseline targets are calculated using the NCCCS State Performance Measures methodology (one standard deviation above mean for Excellence; two standard deviations below mean for Baseline).
