Con-Ed Fees
Some continuing-education courses are free, while others require a nominal charge. The fee schedule below applies to most continuing-education offerings.
Fee Schedule
- Continuing Education Official Transcript — $5.00
- Basic Skills classes — No fee
- High School Equivalency (GED) test — $80.00
- Community-service courses — $35.00 and up
- Occupational courses, 1–24 hours — $70.00
- Occupational courses, 25–50 hours — $125.00
- Occupational courses, 51+ hours — $180.00
Additional Notes
- Self-supporting course fees vary by content and length, with no exemptions.
- HRD courses follow the occupational fee structure but may offer fee waivers for eligible students.
- Volunteer firefighters, law enforcement, and certain personnel are exempt from registration fees for work-related training.
- Some classes require additional supply fees — for example uniforms for Nurse Aide and BLET students.
All fees are subject to change by act of the North Carolina General Assembly.
