Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

A 260-hour comprehensive program for current and prospective emergency medical clinicians. Covers airway management and CPR, hemorrhage control, oxygen administration, shock management, bandaging and splinting, treatment for skull/spine/chest injuries, childbirth assistance, exposure to extreme cold and heat, and transferring patients to medical facilities.

Successful completion makes students eligible for the North Carolina Office of EMS credentialing exam and the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) exam. Students also receive American Heart Association BLS Provider certification.

Tuition: $180 (fee waiver available with proof of current affiliation with an EMT-level or higher agency)
