Martin Technical Institute Foundation Inc. was established in April 1972 to receive gifts and secure external resources for the college. The Foundation’s name changed in 1976 to reflect the college’s name change. The Foundation was established as the College’s fundraising division to receive gifts of cash, securities, deferred gifts, property, equipment, in-kind gifts, and materials. The Foundation’s purpose is to aid and strengthen our students while fulfilling the mission of the College.

The Foundation’s resources ensure that deserving students have financial support to take advantage of the higher educational opportunities the College provides. While the College’s tuition is considered to be reasonable, Foundation scholarships are crucial to helping many students who wish to attend MCC but have limited resources. As the cost of education continues to rise, more scholarships are needed to truly make the difference in helping students reach their personal and professional goals.
The Foundation also supports the Equine program by supplying horses for educational needs. The horses are gifted to the Foundation through charitable donations. These donations provide resources that are used to recruit and retain outstanding students and instructors. If you are interested in gifting a horse to the Foundation, please contact Mrs. Tami Thurston, Equine Program Director, at tammie.thurston@martincc.edu.
The MCC Foundation is a tax-exempt and registered 501(c)(3) non profit organization. All or a portion of your gift may be tax deductible as allowed by current tax laws. As required by law, the Foundation maintains exclusive control over the contribution. If you would like to learn more about charitable giving, please call 252-789-0299 or email us at foundation@martincc.edu.
